Not Even Blake Lively Can Resist Old Navy’s $40 Jeans

As if we needed more reason to love our September cover star, Blake Lively demonstrated that she, too, has a soft spot for gently priced denim—specifically, the Old Navy kind.

Over the weekend the actress stepped out in Long Island, New York, in her Sunday best: a button-down blouse, black heeled sandals, layered gold necklaces, and skinny jeans. It's not a particularly complicated formula—if anything, it's pretty much what we would wear for a postbrunch stroll. (Save for the Fendi bag Lively perched on her shoulder, alas.) But the outfit was a lot closer to our wardrobes than what we originally anticipated. Turns out, her denim was from Old Navy. In fact, her exact style is shoppable—and rings in at just under $40.

Lively was wearing Old Navy's classic Rockstar 24/7 jeans, according to a press release we were very eager to receive this afternoon. (Apparently, she twinned with Rachel Bilson, who opted for the very same denim style that weekend, per the aforementioned email.)

The style is renowned for its attention to fit, manufactured out of a stretchy denim fabric developed for the retailer by none other than Adriano Goldschmied. The best part? It retails for a cool $39.99 and is available in three rinses—that is, if we don't entirely buy out the stock before then.

So should you be in the market for a fall denim upgrade, consider this a helpful shopping tip from Blake Lively. Don't overlook Old Navy's jean selection—or at least beyond the stain-repellent ones. It even may help you save up for the Fendi handbag.
